Work with us
Let’s start with a story…
Charlestown Childcare is a community-based and not-for-profit Centre where our people, play and purpose – to positively nurture the next generation – comes before paperwork. Our ‘come as you are’ philosophy ensures that from the moment you step into our space, your diverse interests, background, and strengths will be supported and backed to create unique development and career opportunities.
Our mission
Our mission is clear: to nurture the next generation in a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment within natural and calming surroundings. We are always on the lookout for talented people to join our growing team!
Why you’ll love working with us…
At Charlestown Childcare and Early Learning Centre we know that wellbeing and creating a supportive space to move, work and grow is in our DNA. We want to see you thrive at work and this is how we make it happen!
We value people over paperwork.
Creating an environment where the next generation is safe, stimulated and supported is our purpose. This means that your day is spent doing what you love rather than being stuck in piles of paper and admin.
We spotlight your success.
Hard work never goes unnoticed at Charlestown. We take pride in spotlighting your success and ensuring you feel valued and appreciated. We celebrate special moments together, creating a close-knit, supportive community that feels like family.
We have your back.
Because of our high staff-to-child ratios, you have the time and support to focus on what you do best: fostering meaningful interactions and create experiences that are tailored to the needs of each child.
We are all about team wellbeing.
Your wellbeing is supported via a range of support including paid breaks, above-award personal leave, programming time and payment, or time in lieu, for meetings.
We have community-friendly hours.
Our community-friendly operation hours of 7.30am-5.30pm guarantee that you can enjoy your free time without work following you home.
We want you to grow.
Just like nurturing our natural environment, we believe in the growth of our people, and their progress. Our Centre provides paid professional development (including first aid updates), staff development days and equips you with contemporary resources and equipment, to support your professional growth.
